asteroid-impact
Asteroid 2016 TB19 was discovered today.
It will pass between Earth and the moon tomorrow.
Well. Best we can tell.
But it is a smallish asteroid.
So it couldn’t save us from the next presidential debate, in any event.

News Headline: “Carrie Fisher: Trump’s sniffles ‘absolutely’ cocaine-related.”
We have no evidence of this.
But a lot of people are talking about it.
Where is Donald Trump’s blood certificate?
Or we could settle for a hair sample.

Donald Trump

+ Primatologist Jane Goodall regarding Donald Trump’s presidential campaign:
In many ways, the performances of Donald Trump remind me of male chimpanzees and their dominance rituals.”
+ Dan Shaviro, a New York University expert on tax law, regarding claims that Donald Trump’s tax deductions are a work of “genius”:
“You don’t need to be a genius. You could be a chimp.”
We may be on the verge of an explanation here.

R.S., a Chicago reader, writes:
“You say a replica can’t be a replica unless it’s the same size of what it is supposed to replicate. My dictionary says otherwise.”
A number of dictionaries have given up on this point.
But not the QT Abridged Too Far Dictionary of the English Language.
And is it past time for QT’s biennial reminder that a horse doesn’t chomp at the bit, but champs at the bit, and that we don’t wait with baited breath, but bated breath?
Evidently.
